SAMI is an association management company, founded in 1986, providing management and administrative services, including staffing, complete office technology and a business location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. SAMI offers comprehensive, cost effective services to associations, under the association management concept.

Client Service Model

SAMI develops a management program to meet the specific needs of your organization. A key staff contact is assigned to provide ongoing management, with staff specialists provided for graphic design, web services and special projects. Open communication with clients is a top priority at SAMI and is critical to the success of the management/client relationship. A representative of each client organization is provided a monthly activity and expense log.

Experienced Staff

SAMI has an experienced staff of seventeen, including six account executives; two account managers, seven account coordinators, graphic designer and communications coorindator. Our staff has provided quality, professional management to international, national, state and local associations for over 30 years. SAMI staff hold memberships in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Wisconsin Society of Association Executives (WSAE), Meetings Professionals International (MPI) and Association Management Company Institute (AMC Institute) and regularly attend meetings of these groups. SAMI President Jane A. Svinicki, CAE, Vice President Jennifer Rzepka, CAE, Account Executives, Jenni Kilpatrick, CAE and Andrew Bronson, CAE have all received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation.


SAMI is accredited by AMC Institute, the global trade association representing the Association Management industry. Among 500-plus Association Management Companies (AMC) worldwide, only 81 have achieved AMC Institute Accreditation, demonstrating the commitment and the ability to deliver the highest level of professional management services to association and not-for-profit clients. These AMCs are the recognized choice of association and not-for-profit organizations.

Administered by AMC Institute, AMC Institute Accreditation is recognized and supported by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership and is based on the ANSI Standard of Good Practices for the AMC Industry. ANSI requires that the standard be reviewed and updated regularly to remain an approved standard. Measurable performance practices include contracts and service delivery; employee recruitment, training and professional development; and financial management and internal controls, among others. AMCs must earn re-accreditation every four years, demonstrating to an independent outside auditor that they continue to meet the standard.

Target Market/Associations Served 

SAMI manages over 25 associations in a variety of professions and industries. SAMI is structured to best serve small to mid-sized international and national associations, and large to mid-sized state associations with comprehensive management services. When SAMI provides complete management services to a client, they receive the best and most efficient delivery of services.


SAMI offers professional office space, the latest office technology, including laptop and tablet computers, the most recent versions of all commonly used business software applications, and co-location web server to host client web sites. The SAMI computer system is fully networked and includes continuous, off-site back up of the server and all staff laptops. All office furniture, equipment, copiers, postage meter, scanners, monitors and general office supplies are provided for use on client activities. Each staff member has a laptop computer capable of remote access to the SAMI servers.

Each client is provided a unique phone number answered with the name of the organization. The SAMI phone system is carried over a T-1 line with 24 channels of voice service. SAMI can receive and answer multiple calls to each client's phone number simultaneously. All SAMI clients and staff have unique voice mailboxes on the phone system. Each SAMI staff has a direct dial phone number for easy accessibility.

Meeting Facilities

The SAMI office is located at Summit Place, a 650,000-square foot re-development of the former Allis-Chalmers Co. headquarters consisting of four buildings with over 50 tenants. The office is easily accessible from I-94 (exit 68-70th Street) with plenty of free parking.

There are four conference rooms in the building for client use, accommodating groups from 8 to 200. Two of the rooms are equipped with PowerPoint projectors and there is also an on-site deli, which can cater any client events. SAMI’s office suite also includes a conference room that can accommodate 12-14 people.

Brand Identification

Supporting the brand requires that every item presented to the membership and public reinforce the image and values of the organization. SAMI offers in-house graphic design, print production management, web site development and maintenance, social media activity and branding and the latest technology communication tools. This internal control ensures the brand is consistently presented. This theory is carried through all mediums where the association is visible including various forms of printed materials, electronic communications and social media channels.

Confidentiality & Conflict of Interest

SAMI maintains the confidentiality of all physical and electronic records, files, rosters and statistical data, which will not be distributed without prior approval of the Board of Directors. SAMI staff also recognizes that all communications among members, trustees, officers, and staff is held confidential at all times. If a conflict of interest arises among with your organization, SAMI staff will immediately notify the Executive Committee of such a conflict and will take measures to resolve the issue.

Review of SAMI performance

AMI staff will be reviewed each year with discussion on meeting performance objectives. Clients will receive an annual summary report of hours used by activity and staff in addition to a monthly time and activity report.


SAMI maintains business casualty and errors and omissions liability insurance of $1,000,000.
