SAMI has a direct T-1 Internet connection for both data and voice servicesThe SAMI computer network links directly with the Internet on a 24 hour, on-line basis.  Security is provided through a firewall created by our Internet service provider.  SAMI staff can reserve your web domain and set-up domain name services for your web address creating a unique a general email address for your organization (info@client.org) and staff email address (staff_name@client.org, etc.). Each SAMI staff member also has a direct e-mail address.

Web Site Development and Hosting

SAMI believes that today's organizations need to have a web site to communicate with members and other audiences.  SAMI assists with the development and implementation of a web site or the upgrade and maintenance of the client’s current web site.  SAMI strives to have all client web sites be content driven (easily updated by staff), serve as the web-based location of all member data (updatable by the member and the staff), and the location of all eCommerce activities for our clients including membership fees, registration fees and product purchases.

Client web sites are hosted on the SAMI co-location web server.  By owning a web server, SAMI has secure control of the sites and associated programming.  The capacity of the web server is also scalable, allowing for the addition of expended memory and bandwidth as needed to meet the client’s needs.  Access for posting information to client sites is limited to staff and authorized parties only.  Clients are charged $50 per month for the hosting.  Routine maintenance and updating of the web site is included in the client fee.

Email Broadcast Lists

SAMI manages client email lists in-house using MailChimp, a web based html broadcast email software system.  It is recommended that clients maintain a member list serve and use it, in conjunction with the client web site, to conduct frequent communication with members.
